Charter Communications provides, digital telephone, high speed Internet and cable service to selected parts of the country. Charter does not provide VoIP service. Rates vary according to local tariffs and restrictions, but for the most part they are providing traditional home phone service with a normal array of calling features in an attractive price range. Charter ensures customers that calls are routed to its private network and never become dependant upon the Internet. The telephone can be installed via any in-home telephone jack and the digital telephone service does not require an Internet connection.
Charter offers a worldwide calling plan for international calling to more than 200 countries, and a per-minute international calling plan at “low international rates.”

Most phone packages from Charter cost around $30 per month. These include voicemail at no additional cost and, as long as your phone number is within their zone, you can port your current home or business phone number. Equipment is included. Charter offers special deals for new service, as well as bundling the phone service with their cable and Internet products.
The 250 minute calling plan is $20 per month. International rates vary according to fluctuating markets. The site states there are no fees to switch and that Charter will provide free professional installation. This means the customer is not charged a shipping fee for the adaptor. This type of service will always have local tariffs and fees common to each customer's home area.
They also have the option of building a plan specifically to your needs with regard to the bundled services. The interesting thing about this option is that it allows you to pick from a more diverse selection of cable packages than has previously been presented. When you bundle the services the savings become extremely attractive.
